A Look At Women's Wrestling

It’s a false assumption that women cannot do the same things as men. It’s the same with the wrestling. They have been there and they will always be there doing the same moves as guys. They are actress and athletes at the same time and they do a good job at it too. They used to only fight against each other to the delight of male fans (in pro wrestling) then eventually, some women have been teamed up with guys. However, you seldom see a guy wrestler hitting a woman wrestler for obvious reasons. These matches generally don’t spark as much interest as an all guy wrestling match.

There is pro wrestling where most of these athletes are not only athletic but they are also very, beautiful, well shaped women. It doesn’t matter which division you look at (WWE) or (TNA) wrestling; they are there to distract the male audience. A quick note on this is that in the WWE there is presently no female champion as she decided to retire. Every once in a while they hold a contest to find women to add to their roster. Can the next lady wrestler be in your neighborhood maybe?

There are independent circuits that specialize in female wrestling strictly. Beautiful woman will be hired in the (GLOW). If they were stronger then most guys (you know the ones that could crush a watermelon between their thighs) they would be in the POWW division or the WOW but since they no longer exist, there is only the GLOW division. If you’re in Vegas, you might catch a glimpse of these athletes.

Talk about patience… The women that wanted to practice their passion in the Olympics have had to wait for 100 years longer than the guys. But in Athens in 2004 that all changed. In the Olympics, women compete in freestyle wrestling. This means they can use their legs, their arms, and use holds below and above the waist. Any other kind of wrestling is just not permitted yet.

The other kind of wrestling for women who are willing of course and is definitely oriented to attract males are matches organized with a sexy theme behind it, for example, women wrestlers in skimpy bikinis. For the promoters, this generates a lot of money.

Women's wrestling offers females pretty much the same opportunities as male wrestling does for the men. Women can choose to tackle wrestling as a serious sport and aspire to compete in the Olympics, or they can go the entertainment route in pro wrestling. No matter which is chosen, a lot of practice and skill will be required to be a success with this demanding sport.
